About Us

Stem cell research is an emotive topic. At our cosmetic centre, for years, we have been removing fat from our patients in an operation called liposuction. Now we understand, that with the correct procedure, this fat can be manipulated, then cultured and stem cells can be extracted. These stem cells can be differentiated to form particular cells. We have selected differentiation towards nerve cells, and have selected Multiple Sclerosis as the chronic condition which our research aims to help improve.

Our research is done in association with UTS (Dr Jerran Santos and Professor Bruce Milthorpe)

Stages

1. Cultivate stem cells from left over liposuction aspirate, and send down neurological line (completed)

2. Cultivate stem cells from MS patient fat donation, review over 3 months (completed)
